COLTON, WA — Aug. 21, 2026 — Scott’s Kitchen & Bath has hired its first employee to meet higher demands for remodeling projects across the region.
Abigail Bevan joined the company this summer as a Design Assistant. She will support showroom visitors, help manage materials and assist with projects onsite. Her addition comes as the company has seen a 47 percent increase for calls to inquire about remodel projects.
“We’re excited to bring Abi (Bevan) onto the team,” said Scott Heitstuman, co-owner of Scott’s Kitchen & Bath. “This is an important step for our business and she will help us better serve our customers’ needs.”
Bevan brings hand-on family remodeling experience, along with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. She will split her time between the office and job sites, according to Co-owner Erin Heitstuman.
Industry regulations have prevented other volunteers from offering support to the business, or even homeowners from helping with projects in the past.
